On arrival at 7pm, guests will be greeted at the bar where they will receive a complimentary drink and be directed into the dining area. This is the time to take a moment, enjoy the log burner and wind down from the day. There will be wine, beer and soft drinks available to purchase and enjoy with your meal. Cash or card payments available. To retain the intimate nature of the event guest numbers will be limited to 24.
Dining will commence at 7.30pm and seating will be allocated to ensure that you are sat with your companions but you may have a new neighbour as guests will be seated in banquet style dining. At least one, if not all of the courses will be served on large platters and plates to be shared amongst diners. As before, we won’t be publishing a menu prior to the event so that we can respond to the best of the season, what’s coming from the allotment and allow for creative freedom and flexibility in building the meal. We are to be notified of any allergens at least 7 days prior to the event at amanda@sageandseason.co.uk. Given the nature of the evenings we are only able to accommodate allergens and not dietary preferences.
Please don't be daunted or deterred by the idea of shared dining with strangers- communal eating often generates the most engaging and interesting of conversations. There will be more than enough to go around and you never know who you may meet.
Dinner will be served at a leisurely pace to allow guests the opportunity to catch up with friends and make some anew. The evening comes to a close at 10.30 - 10.45pm and be sure to book a taxi well in advance if you will be needing one. We would suggest doing this from 11pm onwards. We ask that the site is vacated by 11.30pm.
